The Huies and Millie lead the first big trip,
They searched for sand dollars which were hard to grip.
Now in South Carolina you could swim and ride bikes,
But remember no trikes.
Now the fourth of July really set off the boom,
With the Edwards party planned by Sarah and Jayne's mom.
Next came Nauvoo and off the Edwards and Ellie went,
and that is where their next 2 and a half weeks were spent,
They learned to dance and sing on a big stage,
And seeing the temple they yelled "hooray!!"
Grandma and Grandpa and the Goldrup clan,
took an epic journey through dust and sand.
They went to Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, and Cody WO.
So when they got to Nauvoo everyone yelled way to go.
On the 24th of July the Edwards and Goldies were gone,
So it was up to the Huishes to carry the banner on.
They carried it down with pride in their step,
good thing there were popcicles at the end so no one wept.
Next came the spud man, 1 2 3 GO!
Ellie, Millie, and Sam were a team Whoa.
Don't forget the 2nd place winners rin and daddio,
Gary and his family run it evry year,
so when they crossed the finish line we gave a big cheer.
Now we headed to McCall for a week long trip,
When we went water skiing you had to have a tight grip.
We could hike, fish, swim, and boat too,
So you see there is lots of fun stuff to do.
One of my favorite things to do is huckleberry picking, Wa Hoo!
The huishes are now off on a trip,
to Yellowstone they headed, the car ride took a bit.
They saw bears, Elk, and deer oh and don't forget The buffalo Rin's favorite.
The goldies left for China when the huishes were away but that was not the end of summer no, no way.
last but not least one more journey was taken,
To Flaming Gorge, the Huishes and Johnsons's went they weren't faken.
So that is the end of this summer poem,
So farewell to you all and now I got to get goin'.
